KGHS was established in 1890, by Mrs. Katherine Graham. One of the oldest schools of Kalimpong, it was established with an aim to render the best women education in this region. Affiliated to the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary, KGHS has in fact come a long long way and strives to impart empowerment to the girl child with better education and all round development.KGHS, caters to the education as well as mental & physical development right from the toddlers to the adolescents, about to take on the world, with inculcating the right attitude, infusing spiritual growth, integrating team spirit & to inspire the up coming generation.GHS, has been lucky to have been blessed with numerous selfless people and that includes the Principals of the school, under who's able leadership, guidance & vision, GHS has stood it's test of time.As Mahatma Gandhi put it, "Man can never be a woman's equal in the spirit of selfless service with which nature has endowed her."
